With over 15 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and Midwife, I am dedicated to providing expert education to women and their families. Having worked in both private and public hospitals, my passion for women's health motivates me to continually expand my knowledge and skills to deliver expert childbirth and parenting education.

I also hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessing, allowing me to share my expertise and empower others with the knowledge and skills they need for a positive and informed pregnancy and birth experience.

Here are my Top 6 Essential Rules I recommend all new parents use — not just for baby’s safety, but for your peace of mind too:

Invite Only – Visits should happen by invitation only. New parents need space to bond, heal, and rest.

No Kissing – It might seem harmless, but a baby’s immune system is still developing. No kisses — even on hands or feet.

Keep it Short – Newborn life is exhausting. Short visits are kind visits.

Wash Hands – Before holding baby, always wash hands thoroughly.

Stay Home if Sick – Even minor symptoms? Reschedule. It’s not worth the risk.

Basic groceries – Instead of more baby clothes, bring basic groceries, meals, or snacks. It’s the most practical help you can offer.

Why Do My Breasts Leak in Pregnancy? 🤔💖

It’s completely normal! Here’s why: ⬇️

During pregnancy, your body is preparing for breastfeeding, and hormonal changes play a huge role. 🤰✨

1. Hormones at Work: Increased levels of estrogen and progesterone stimulate your breast tissue to get ready for milk production. This can cause leakage, especially in the second or third trimester.

2. Colostrum: The first milk your body produces is called colostrum, which is thick, yellowish, and nutrient-rich. Colostrum can leak before birth, but it’s usually just a small amount. 🌟

3. Pressure & Stimulation: Anything that stimulates your breasts (like tight clothing or even a warm shower) can cause leakage, too!

Don’t worry, it’s a sign your body is gearing up for breastfeeding. If you’re feeling uncomfortable, breast pads can help keep you dry!
